practical action towards climate-resilient water and sanitation systems
The Systems Academy has launched a free, 4-hour online course for NGOs ready to move from commitment to action on climate resilience.
Most organisations working in water, sanitation and hygiene already contribute more to climate resilience than they realise. Community engagement, systems thinking and local ownership are its foundations. What's often missing is a clear framework to bring these together. This course provides one.
You'll work on how your organisation thinks about climate risk, how you design and adapt your programmes, and how you engage the systems and stakeholders around you to drive change at scale.
The course works best when colleagues from across your organisation take it together. It starts with the Climate-resilient WASH self-check, so you can see what's already in place and where the gaps are.
The course is based on two practical guides: A practical guide for NGOs to drive impact, collaboration and scalability (2025) and Investing in climate-resilient WASH: a practical guide for funders.
It was created by Riva and Aguaconsult, with the generous support of the Osprey Foundation and the Shockwave Foundation.
